Let's talk about S2O Stock Screener and it's ability to save your sets of filters.

Predefined Sets

S2O Stock Screener allows you to save naming sets of filters. And every registered user gets several predefined filters. For instance, I have never modified any of my filters in my demo account and currently I have 3 items in the list defined for me by stock2own.

Let's see how it look like. The first in the list is "Rule #1". I'm clicking "Load" and some of my filters were populated for me: exchanges were selected, Growth Grade and Year-over-Year Growth Grade set to "A or better", Debt to Free Cash Flow Ratio set to "Good" and Trade Volume set to above 600K.

OK, this is very basic, mostly fundamental characteristics are set up and volume and exchanges just to make sure that I'm dealing with a well established, relatively high volume stocks. Click "Get Data" and I got the list of 9 stocks. Good enough to start with.

I can see that there are some stocks are in a bull market while others in a bear. I'm looking for a long trade prospect and therefore I would rather keep my focus on stocks in a bull market only.

This is easy to do - just set Market Condition filter in the Technicals section to Bull. Click "Get Data" to refresh results - now I have only 5 stocks left and all of them are in a bull market. Great!

Add new or Modify a named set

So, from now on I want my "Rule #1" filter set include market condition. I'm going to click "Save". In a popup window I can set a name for my filter set. If I leave the name as is, stock2own will overwrite my Rule #1 set. I can also give it a different name, for example, "New Set" and in this case new entry will be created.

But before clicking "Save" button, please, pay attention to the checkbox "Auto load next time". If you check it on, next time when you go to Stock Screener this filter set will be automatically selected for you and all you will have to do next is press button "Get Data".

Now I'm ready to press "Save". I can see new line appeared in my drop down and when I load it, it loads all my settings. Nice.

Deleting existing set

Of course, I can also delete it as easily as I created. Just select the item you want to delete and click button "Delete". Confirm your choice and it is gone.

I hope this small feature will save you a lot of time and will allow you to manage your filter sets efficiently.
